Message This will be a relatively long post, here goes...

This has been an ongoing project since Sep of last year (blown head gaskets) We're almosr finnished with her and i wanted to throw a few pics out there as we've documented the build.

I want to begin by saying that if I had it to do all over again I would'nt think twice about buying a crate motor from Kyle Puckett. I have become another thoroughly satisfied statistic of his amazing professionalism. I'm not saying anything you guys don't already know. KYLE, THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!!!!!!

I would like to add further aknowledgements to Ultimate Z in Chicago, Jim Wolf tech-service department, 300 Bellow in Illinois, and believe or not, Z1.

I made several huge mistakes early on in this project, largest of which was not discovering this forum before I started spending money. I would have saved alot of $$$$$. I however have had a chance to personaly hold, inspect and observe every piece of this rebuild and there is a certain amount of satisfaction to it.

I was however VERY fortunate to find Marty Smith to work on my car. He is a retired master mech from Nissan specializing in the Z engine particularly the TT. He has an amazing attention to detail and an artistic approach to his work. He has built several powerful Zs here in the Chattanooga area that have been impressing the locals for years. THANK YOU MARTY FOR YOUR WORK SO FAR!!!!!

The build:

Some JE pistons @ 20 over

The entire rotating assembly has been race ballanced and chryo-dipped at 300Bellow.com

Jun adjustable intake cam gears and a UD pulley

Jwt 400+ cams with some MS manifolds on Stillen race heads

JWT530BB

Nismo 555 injectors w/95+ fuel rails and 95+ lower intake

I always enjoy this stage of engine pics, don't know why though. I don't entend to play with the exhaust timing so we'll see what happens.

A little vanity won't hurt will it? Z1 didn't prommise a perfect job on this but it was good enough for me.

Please take note on these next few pics as i've never seen a TB bypass done this cleanly or sexy before. This is just one example of Marty's attention to detail that confirms I have the right guy for the job. He used additional water piping from a J30 to minimalize the use of rubber hosing to provide this "uber" clean look.

HKS SMICs, they were on sale at the time of purchace

I just love these!!!!, She should be able to breath and burp.

I went with the basics on this.

KYB Adjustables. I'm keeping my NA rear sub-frame and dif, we'll see how it holds up.

Hand painted in "Ghetto Gold" for a little contrast:-) w/ 350Z track rotors

Ready to be shoe-horned in its new home.

The guys were playing around while I was out. It would be a fun 510 though, just melting tires!

But seriously.

It actually does fit!!

JWT Hvy Duty clutch and light weight fly wheel.

99+ 5spd manual Tranny, we'll see if that grinding goes away from 3rd to 4th.

Z1 one-piece DS, was already part of my stage 3 car.

Outta $$$$ right now so I'm staying with my Megan exhaust and was exited to still have my resinaters as well.

Stillen oil cooler.

The bay, Z1 hard pipes, T-bolt clamps, Hose techniques silicon hosing, and Koyo radiator. This was mocked up with a stock TB cover that I will be replacing with a Carbon Powertrix cover to work with my Carbine strut tower brace.

JWT Twin Pops.

I'll post pics of the finnished project soon, can't wait much longer. This pic is a tipical site at Walkers import auto repair, now hosting 3 Twin Turbos. The black one in the back getting an alternater job dynoed at 657rwhp. Chattanooga's starting to represent, be lookin for us.

I have been pol;itely reading all the posts in the general and tech forums for almost 9 months. I'm fairly computer illiterate and don't post often. This site and the venders that participate have been a wealth of info for me.

Thanx to all, you'll be hearing from me soon!!!

Gotta....Have....More.....Boost!!!!!!
OMG that feels sooooo good!
